Walking Home

This photo is from the same day as "Foggy Morning". Turns out that it was a foggy day. When school is over, today it happened to be around noon, the mothers pick up their childen and start the walk home. The walk is not not so long but it was definitly not for the faint of heart. Can you see that cliff. The little girl with the umbrella is half my size. It was like rock climbing for me to get up there. On a clear day the view is fantastic.

50th Post

In honor of my 50th post (that means you now have to click older posts so do not forget) I have decided to post this quote:

"I love it when I'm on a roll. All the creative juices tend to roll, and nearly everything you see, starts to look good. One starts to begin to see all over again. Not only see but feel. And when that starts, it's the greatest feeling in the world. I start really working on composition and using light coupled with content, and when that happens it is truly amazing."

Bill Luster, staff photographer at The Courier-Journal in Louisville, Kentucky

Foggy Morning

This photo was taken on my last day in Sapa only a few days before i was to actually leave Vietnam. I was up early as usual. It was a 5 minute motor bike taxi down to the turn off for the village that we were going to. The walk, an hour and a half to accommodate for all the photo stops. The farther down we went, the thicker and thicker the fog because.

The Fox

This weekend I went out to Buck Ridge Gold Course in Markstay. It was a beautiful day. I was driving around the course when I came across this red fox. I had seen him earlier in the day and he is definably not scared of anyone.

Jack's Plane

Unfortunately I was not able to go for a flight. The back up engine was not working. Maybe next time. But not being able to get in the air did not prevent us from having fun.

St. Joe's Island, September 5th.

Hilton Beach Marina

I love the contrast of the lone small green plant against the many white and blue boats.

Sophie

Hay is not just hay. Sophie has her favorite pieces. Here she is using her nose to shift through the pile to weed out her favorites.

The Salon

I know that it has been a long time since my last post. I have been going through my pictures from the last few weeks. This is a photo taken while in Ottawa. It was at a friend of mines cottage. It was a really beautiful place that I could spend days taking pictures there. This is a shot of the living room as you walk into the cottage. It was late in the afternoon and the sun had just dropped over the horizon. The light was so soft and really made you feel what was special about this place.
