Speed Skating

Sudbury, Ontario. January 18-20, 2007. Canadian Open Short Track Championships.


Francois-Louis Tremblay for the National Speed Skating team leads around a corner. Tremblay is currently ranked 1st in both 500m and 1000m. Tremblay would take silver in the 500m.



National team members compete in Sudbury at the Canadian Open. Leader Nicolas Bean followed by, Olivier Jean, Marc-Andre Monette, Jean-Francois Monette.

Driving from Montreal to Sudbury. This photo was taken on my first drive in Jan '07. It was a horrible snow storm. I put on my winter boots and stood beside the car knee deep in snow.

This day had already been planned for weeks. As the day drew closer the weather was looking cold. Night before ... snow dump!!! Montreal is is chaos! 45minutes to get up Cote des Neiges. Mt. Sutton .... POWDER to the knees!!! Ski morning . Photo shoot afternoon.

I went to the skate park. This was the first time I've ever shot Inline Skating. It was a fun experience and something completely different. I put a series together of Immony on the rail. I will post more soon.
